Abstract:A method of simulating bird's dynamic RCS were proposed, based on the flapping wing model. First of all, three typical flapping wing bird CAD models were built, and the static RCS on all air-space of each model were calculated by FEKO. The flight path was set adding location disturbance, the aspect angles of radar in target body coordinate and the bird's flapping wing attitudes series were obtained, and the RCS were found out by liner interpolation. The result shows that: the dynamic RCS in side is higher than that of in front and back, and the RCS considering flapping wing has obvious os- cillation. The method offers beneficial reference to the study of dynamic characteristics of birds.
