Guidelines for Authors

 

All authors must submit manuscript through Online Submission System for Journal of Microwaves (http://www.mwjournal.org).

Scope of Contribution

The following contents are highly welcome: (1) Electromagnetic field theory and numerical calculation; (2) Microwave network; (3) Microwave components and circuits; (4) Millimeter wave and sub-millimeter wave technology; (5) Microwave antenna and scattering; (6) Microwave integrated circuits; (7) Microwave CAD; (8) Microwave electromagnetic compatibility; (9) Microwave measurement; (10) Microwave technology on biological medicine; (11) Application of microwave in military field and industrial and agricultural production; (12) Relevant interdisciplinary subjects.

Requirements for Submission

(1)    Content Requirements.

Contributions must be innovative, academic and correct. Requirements for contributions are to highlight, coherent, concise text, reliable data, clear image and normative table. The layout is usually no more than 6 pages.

(2)    Confidentiality Requirements.

The author shall strictly abide by the relevant national confidentiality laws and regulations, and ensure that the paper does not involve disclosure. Before the paper is published, the Confidentiality Certificate stamped by the unit shall be provided to the editorial department.

(3)    Layout Requirements.

Author’s script should include (in order): Chinese title (generally no more than 20 words), author’s name, employer, city, zip code, abstract, 3-8 keywords, English contents corresponding to the above, introduction, body text, references, author introduction and E-mail address. Indicate the name and number of the fund project in the footer of the first page. After the text, please attach the author’s address, contact telephone number, etc.

(4)    Abstract Requirements.

Abstract of the paper is a report abstract (about 300 words), which content including research aim, method, result and conclusion. Abstract should be independent and self-explanatory, and generally written in the third person. The English abstract should correspond to the Chinese abstract.

(5)    Unit and Formula Requirements.

Manuscripts are required to use standard characters, quantity and unit symbols in line with SI unit. The use of mathematical symbols should be distinguished between upright letters, italics and black italics (For example, vectors and matrices are represented in bold italics.). The arrangement of mathematical formulas should be concise and correct, the author only need to list the main process and the key results without giving detailed operation or derivation.

(6)    Figure and Table Requirements.

Figures and tables should only be accompanied by the most necessary and should be self-explanatory. According to the sequence of the text, give the figure number, figure caption, table number and table header. The function figure requires clear marking (The name or symbol indicating the coordinate axis physical quantity and corresponding units), and the marked values should be clear (The number of nominal value should not exceed 3 digits as far as possible). The photos provided in the paper should be well organized and clear. All forms are three-line tables, the numbers in the form usually do not carry units, the unit symbol should be merged in the column (The column consists of the quantity’s name or symbol and unit, in the form of “quantity/unit”.).

(7)    Reference Requirements.

References should be numbered in the order in which they appear in the text, and their serial numbers should be indicated where they are quoted in the text. Do not cite unpublished information. New publications should be cited wherever possible. The description format of various literatures is as follows:

(8)    Acknowledgement Requirements.

If necessary, place acknowledgments including information on grants received after the references in a separate section, and not as a footnote on the title page.

Announcement

(1)    The Time to Review a Manuscript.

The editorial department will give feedback to the author within 3 months after receiving the manuscript. If no feedback from the editorial department is received within 3 months, the author can deal with it by himself.

(2)    “One Paper for Many Journals” is not allowed.

If the author is discovered “one paper for many journals”, Journal of Microwaves will reject this author’s manuscripts within 3 years, and claim this author to compensate for the loss caused to Journal of Microwaves.

(3)    Responsibilities for Word in Paper.

The editorial department has the right to modify the text; The author shall be responsible for the proof reading (including content and confidentiality) and the publication after the proofs.

(4)    Copyright.

Unless the author states in advance, the published papers (abstract and full paper) (including printed version, CD version and network version) will be provide to domestic and foreign databases and retrieval organizations such as CNKI, and author’s opinions will not be solicited. The editorial department shall pay the copyright fee and the author’s remuneration in one-off payments.
